This bronze plaque was presented by Cleburne County Memorial Gardens Tuesday night to the city of Heber Springs in memory of Officer David Gachot who died in December after a short illness. The plaque will be hung in city hall where it will stay. (Sun-Times photo/Louis Short)

On September 11th, we dedicated a memorial in honor of all firefighters, EMTs and paramedics. (The cemetery already had markers in place for Law Enforcement and all branches of the military.) The memorial dedication included guest speakers: Paul Henley from NorthStar ambulance service, Heber Springs Mayor Paul Muse, Lt. Commander Robert McGill of the 39th Support Battalion and Congressional Candidate Mayor Stubby Stumbaugh. Freddy Stovall led prayers.
